Legends of the Saginaw Sails
Adults $37, Students $27
Learn the fascinating history of the Saginaw River as the Appledore sails from Downtown Bay City out to
the Saginaw Bay. Once out on the open water, help the crew set the sails or relax and enjoy the view. A
hearty lunch is served underway. Narration by local historians. Call for reservations.

Bay City Fireworks Festival
See the fireworks from the best seat in the house – the Deck of a Tall Ship! Join us on the Appledore IV for a three-hour sail, a three-course meal served onboard, and the Bay City Fireworks. Departing from Wenonah Park at 6:00pm, returning at 9:00pm. Stay aboard and watch the fireworks at 10:00pm. Tickets include access to all Wenonah Park festivities.

Stargazer Dinner Sails

A special live program presented onboard the Appledore IV by astronomers from the Delta College
Planetarium: View constellations, listen to star legends, learn to navigate by the stars, hear the words of
poets, and enjoy the beauty of the night sky under sail. Three-course dinner catered by Fusion 1 Café.

Moonlight Dinner Sails

The astronomers from the Delta College Planetarium present a special live program aboard the
Appledore IV: learn about moon phases, listen to moon legends, and view the beauty of the Moon in the

Windjamming Day Sails

Get onboard and take advantage of the blustery fall conditions as we push the schooner to really fly. This is a sail for those ready to join in and help the crew, get their hands dirty, and hang on for a wild ride.

Saginaw River Ecology Sails
Adults $35, Students $25
The Saginaw Bay and Saginaw River form part of the largest contiguous freshwater wetland in the
United States. As we travel South on the Saginaw River you will see a host of flora and fauna, including
snowy egrets and bald eagles. You will also view the powerful impact of the spread of invasive wetland
plants that are changing this vital habitat. A delicious “Schooner Stew” will be served as we travel the
river. Narration included. Note: Sailing will be limited due to the narrowness of the waterway.

Autumn Color Tour River Sails

In October, as the leaves begin to change and the temperature starts to cool, the Appledore IV
changes course and we begin our popular two-hour autumn color tour sails. Sailing upriver on the
Saginaw, passengers will enjoy hot cider, chili and cornbread while keeping a sharp eye for Bald
Eagles, Snowy Egrets, and of course the lovely colors. Cozy quilts available too!
